National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and its 2023 presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that the party will secure victory in Cross River State during the 2027 general elections.

Addressing stakeholders in Calabar on Tuesday, Kwankwaso urged members to remain united and work with “one mind” to strengthen the party’s structure across the state.

“Let me thank you for what you did during the last election in 2023. I urge you to work harder so that by the grace of God, our party, the NNPP, will win elections in Cross River and Nigeria.

“Let’s ensure unity within the party especially now that we have a new big office in Calabar and many local government areas across Cross River State,” he said.

The former Kano governor commended the state leadership for expanding the party’s presence, describing the development as a strong signal ahead of 2027.

State Chairman of the NNPP, Barr. Tony Odey, hailed Kwankwaso’s visit as a morale booster, noting that it had strengthened members’ resolve to consolidate gains in the state.

He praised the Contact Committee led by Alhaji Ahmed Bitchi for securing office accommodation and an official vehicle, describing them as enviable achievements.

Odey further disclosed that apart from the state secretariat in Calabar, the party had successfully secured offices in five local government areas of the Northern Senatorial Zone, with plans to brand them in the party’s colours.

In a vote of thanks, the publicity secretary, Odey Nyambi, assured that the state chapter was committed to mobilising grassroots support, stressing that NNPP’s growing visibility in Cross River would translate into victory in 2027.
