Zamfara security operatives rescue abducted family of SSG
Security forces in Zamfara have rescued the abducted family members of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Mohammed Abubakar Nakwada.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed in a post on X on Sunday that the victims; Sadiya Nakwada, Aisha Nakwada, and Abubakar Dan Fulani were freed during a joint operation by the Zamfara State Police Command’s tactical teams and the Force Intelligence Department’s Special Tactical Squad (FID STS) from Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“Five people; Hamza Umar, Abubakar Abdullahi, Aisha Umar, Mohammed Ibrahim, and Igeh Mohammed were arrested in connection with the abduction; all are from the Mareri area in Damba District, Gusau,” Makama wrote.
Makama further added that the freed victims were moved to a hospital in Gusau for treatment and are expected to rejoin their family soon.
