You’re already acting like opposition party – ADC to APC
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has told the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to stop weaponising personal attacks to deflect from the failures of the Tinubu administration.
The ADC added that the APC must know that it has a responsibility to answer to the people of Nigeria.
The ADC, in a statement signed by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, its National Publicity Secretary, said the ruling party has continued to behave like an opposition party.
The ADC challenged the APC to do well to explain to Nigerians why they still go through the level of insecurity, economic collapse, and national disunity.
The ADC accused the national ruling party of engaging in a petty tirade against it and its leaders, particularly a former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
According to the national coalition movement, “the APC has chosen distraction over substance, insults over introspection, and propaganda over performance.
‘’But we must remind them that while words can be manipulated, the facts on ground cannot.’’
Abdullahi noted that at this point, Nigerians want answers to insecurity, hunger, joblessness, and despair.
It wondered why the ruling is ignoring all this, choosing to attack those asking the hard questions.
“It is unfortunate that a party that held the presidency, controlled both chambers of the National Assembly, and commanded the vast resources of the Nigerian state still behaved as if it was in opposition,” the statement added.
