‘Your Host Are Accommodating’ – Rivers Administrator Charges NYSC Members

Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd.), has charged 2025 Batch B Stream I Corps Members deployed to Rivers State to be a source of joy to the people of their host community.
Vice Admiral Ibas noted that this was especially required as host communities are accommodating, hospitable and charitable.
He stated this today at the closing ceremony of the orientation exercise for 2025 Batch B Stream I Corps Members at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area.
The Administrator who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, further charged the Corps Members to see Rivers State as “their home and serve selflessly to leave enduring legacies in their host community.”
In his address, the State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe thanked the Sole Administrator for the “acquisition of 1000 brand new mattresses for Corps Members use on camp and commitment to upgrade the camp infrastructure soon.”
He further advised the Corps Members to accept their posting in good faith and use the Service Year to “develop soft and hard skills, leadership communication, problem solving and specific technical skills that will stand them out amongst their peers.”
A total of 1902 Corps Members made up of 811 males and 1091 females successfully completed the orientation exercise.
