England became the second team to qualify for the semi-final of the 2025 Women’s European Championship.
The Lionesses had to battle back from two goals down to take the game to extra time and penalties.
Sweden raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Kosovare Asllani and Stina Blackstenius in the first half.
But England were level within two minutes in the second half, with Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang getting the goals.
Sarina Wiegman’s ladies went on to win a dramatic shoot-out 3-2.
England will now take on Italy, who eliminated Norway with a 2-1 victory, in the final four on Tuesday.
