Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike says his principal has been scheduled for a television interview on September 18.

This put to rest rumours making the rounds purporting that the Minister jetted out of the country following a deteriorating health situation.

An online medium had reported that Wike allegedly travelled to the United Kingdom, UK for medical attention.

The publication alleged that the Minister was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

But Lere in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, said the Minister is scheduled to appear on Channels TV on Thursday this week.

The post reads, “FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, will be on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 7PM to 8:30PM”.

DAILY POST reports that the suspended Governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara is expected to be reinstated on the day of the scheduled interview.
