New Napoli signing, Kevin De Bruyne has explained why he joined the club this summer transfer window.

De Bruyne had joined the reigning Serie A champions some days ago after leaving Manchester City.

Speaking ahead of Napoli’s pre-season friendly clash with Arezzo on Tuesday, the veteran midfielder said he decided to join Napoli because the club has ambitious project.

“I decided to join Napoli as the project is ambitious, I can feel the club is progressing fast,” De Bruyne said via Fabrizio Romano.

“My excitement was clear when Napoli presented me with their project and vision. I feel here we can be competitive, that’s what I wanted”.

This is coming after De Bruyne recently urged Napoli head Antonio Conte to sign his former Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish.
