Weightlifting Federation President, Ibrahim, Gets IWF Appointment

The President of the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation, Dr Abdul Ibrahim, has been appointed as a member of the Innovation Commission of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

The appointment was announced in a letter signed by Mohammed Jalood, the President of the IWF, and Anthonio Urso, the IWF’s General Secretary.

Ibrahim is also the Chairman of the Sports For All Commission of the Nigeria Olympic Committee.

He expressed his delight at the opportunity to serve in the apex body of weightlifting.

Ibrahim said: “I am honoured to have been selected to serve on the IWF’s Innovation Commission.

“This is a testament to Nigeria’s growing prominence in the world of weightlifting, and I look forward to working with my fellow commission members to help shape the future of our sport.”

Ibrahim’s appointment highlights Nigeria’s growing influence in Weightlifting.
