WAFCON: Super Falcons focused on winning title – Madugu
Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has said his players have their sights firmly fixed on beating Morocco in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The nine-time champions and the host nation will battle for the ultimate prize at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat on Friday.
It will be the fourth meeting between both countries at the WAFCON finals.
Nigeria won the first two, while the Atlas Lionesses defeated the Super Falcons 5-4 on penalties in their last meeting in the semi-final three years ago.
Madugu’s side defeated a spirited South African side 2-1 in a pulsating semi-final clash on Tuesday.
The gaffer declared that they won’t relent until they achieve their objective.
“We thank God for making it to the final. I want to assure you that we are not going to relent or take our eyes off the ball. Our focus is on lifting the trophy in Rabat on Saturday,” he said.
