WAFCON: ‘My Victory for Benue, Nigeria – Ordega
Super Falcons star and five-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON champion, Francisca Mlumun Ordega, has dedicated her latest continental glory to “Benue and Nigeria,” describing it as a shared success rather than an individual feat.
The celebration took place on Thursday evening at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, Makurdi, where Governor Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia hosted a lavish dinner in her honour.
Hailing Ordega as “a shining example” and “an inspiration to every young girl in Benue and beyond,” Governor Alia lauded her unwavering dedication to sports and her ability to consistently bring honour to the state and the nation.
“We are singing the common national song of victory with one of us, whom God chose to represent us and bring pride to our land,” the governor remarked, encouraging parents to support daughters who wish to pursue sporting careers.
