Banyana Banyana of South Africa head coach, Desiree Ellis has boasted they know how to beat the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The defending champions will take on perennial rivals, Nigeria in a semi-final contest at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.

South Africa defeated Nigeria 1-0 in their last WAFCON meeting three years ago in Morocco, even though Nigeria have a better head-to-head record.

Ellis fired a warning to Nigeria ahead of the game, claiming his side have what it takes to beat their opponent.

“We know what this match means. We know what it takes to beat Nigeria,” Ellis was quoted by CAFonline.

South Africa defeated Senegal 4-1 on penalities to book a place in the semi-finals.

The Super Falcons on the hand thrashed Copper Queens of Zambia 5-0.
