Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie can’t hide her excitement following the team’s 3-0 victory over Tunisia, DAILY POST reports.
It was the first time the Super Falcons will be winning their opening fixture at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations since the 2016 edition hosted by Ghana.
Nnadozie was barely tested in the game as the defenders kept the Tunisians at bay.
The Brighton stopper, however, impressed with her impressive ball distribution.
The 24-year-old also praised the Tunisians for putting up a good display in the game.
“I feel so good, it was a good one, a good beginning for us,” Nnadozie said after the game.
“The Tunisians are not a bad side, we respect them so much, they played a very good game but today (Sunday) was for us and we hope to continue like this.”
The encounter against Tunisia was Nnadozie’s 22nd for the Super Falcons.
She is expected to keep her position in goal when the Super Falcons take on Botswana in their second group game on Wednesday.
