Super Falcons’ Chiwendu Ihezuo could not hide her excitement after helping Nigeria overcome a stubborn Botswana side in their Group B encounter at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday.

Ihezuo scored the winning goal for the Super Falcons in the match.

The Super Falcons secured a place in the last eight following the hard-fought victory.

The Pachuca striker also praised her teammates for their contributions to the win.

“I feel super excited for today’s victory all thanks to God and my teammates,” she said after the game.

The 28-year-old has now scored twice in six appearances for the nine-time African champions.

Justine Madugu’s side will face Algeria in their final group game on Sunday.
