Rasheedat Ajibade has said the Super Falcons will need the support of Nigerians to actualise their objective at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Justine Madugu’s side have set their sights on winning a 10th title at the competition, which started in Morocco on Saturday.

Hosts Morocco, holders Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Copper Queens of Zambia, and Black Queens of Ghana are also among the favourites to claim the title.

Ajibade demanded that the fans rally behind the team.

“So, my word to the family back home, and all our friends who support us across the continent, keep praying for us, keep supporting us,” the 25-year-old told reporters.

The Super Falcons will face Tunisia in their first game in Casablanca on Sunday (today).

The Group B encounter will kick off at 5 p.m. Nigeria time.
