WAFCON 2024: Ajibade scoops WOTM in Super Falcons’ victory over Zambia
Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade was named Woman of the Match following Nigeria’s emphatic 5–0 win over the Copper Queens of Zambia.
Ajibade grabbed two assists in the thrilling quarter-final contest played at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca.
It was the second time the player had received the award in the competition.
The former Atlético Madrid star claimed the award in Nigeria’s second group game against the Mares of Botswana.
The 25-year-old set up Esther Okoronkwo for Nigeria’s second goal in the 33rd minute.
She also provided the assist for Folashade Ijamilusi’s fifth goal.
