The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma joined the rest of the world to Celebrate this year’s International Fathers Day, calling fathers “pillars of strength, resilience and dedication in homes.”
The governor in a goodwill message on Sunday commended fathers for their selfless sacrifice and guidance that have helped in steadying the family unit, the state and country at large.
Uzodinma while appreciating fathers affirmed that his government will work hand in gloves with fathers to sustain a progressive, inclusive and harmonious society.
He said: “On this International Father’s Day, we join the world in celebrating our fathers – pillars of strength, resilience, and dedication within our homes, communities, and society at large.
“Today, we honour their commitment, selfless sacrifices, and the steady guidance they provide in shaping lives and building strong family values.
“Their immense contributions, whether through mentorship, hard work in providing for the family, or quiet support, help lay the foundation for a better, more secured future for all.
“As a Government, we deeply appreciate and recognize these efforts.
“We reaffirm our commitment to supporting fathers and working hand in hand with them to sustain a progressive, inclusive, and harmonious society for generations to come.”
