Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, carried out on-the-spot inspections at two major infrastructure projects in the state — the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center (EIICC) and the Concord Hilton Hotel, both of which are undergoing reconstruction in the state capital.

According to the governor, his administration’s investment in public infrastructure is strategic, a deliberate catalyst for economic growth and not merely for aesthetics.

He said that he is particularly glad to note the steady progress in the construction of the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center (EIICC) and the ongoing renovation of the Concord Hilton Hotel and that the landmark projects are advancing significantly, marking a clear improvement from the last time he conducted an inspection.

The Governor, accompanied by key members of his administration, expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at both sites, describing the progress as “clear evidence of vision-driven development.”

He said: “These landmark projects are not just about physical structures — they are part of a broader strategy to reposition Imo State as a leading destination for business, tourism, and international engagements.”

The Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center, when completed, is expected to serve as a world-class venue for major local and international events, while the refurbished Concord Hilton Hotel is poised to restore its status as a premier hospitality destination in the region.

The governor further assured residents of the state that his government will continue to monitor these projects closely to ensure timely delivery and the highest standards of quality.
