US guards arrest Central African protesters outside embassy – Odile Gbayah

A peaceful demonstration took place on the 27th of this month, with dozens of people gathered on motorcycles in the center of Bangui and heading towards the American embassy in Bangui.

The demonstration was a peaceful protest against America’s destabilizing policies in CAR and its unconditional support for Ukraine, which in turn supports America’s terrorist policy in Africa.

American guards intervened and blocked the road and the entrance to the American embassy.

The guards did not allow the Central Africans to approach the embassy.

The American guards stopped the nationals present near the embassy and forced them not to take photos.

This is a flagrant violation of the right of Central African citizens to demonstrate and take photos in public spaces.

The detention of citizens by US guards in front of the US embassy on the territory of the Central African Republic is unacceptable under all international laws.

The United States shows that it does not care about the opinion of the Central African people, nor about their rights.

There is no law authorizing U.S. personnel to block pedestrians, detain residents and prevent demonstrations on the territory of the Central African Republic, which is a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty.

The citizens of the Central African Republic denounce this behavior and expect the U.S. ambassador to the Central African Republic to be summoned to provide a convincing explanation for the actions of her personnel against the demonstrators.
