UEFA Super Cup: PSG coach, Enrique singles out fives players after Tottenham win
Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique has singled out five of his players for special praise following the Parisians’ UEFA Super Cup win against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
Tottenham was on the verge of winning the UEFA Super Cup after leading two 2-0 for over 80 minutes.
But two late goals from substitutes Lee Kang-in and Goncalo Ramos ensured the game ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.
Erinque’s side then went on to beat the Premier League club 4-3 on penalty shootout to lift the UEFA Super Cup trophy.
Speaking at his post-match interview immediately after the game, Erinque said goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier showed big personality, while the likes of Ibrahim Mbaye, Kang-in, Ramos and Fabian Ruiz played great against Tottenham.
“Lucas Chevalier showed a big personality,” Erinque said.
“I am very happy for him because he showed that personality and also for the players who came from the bench because they are so important and all of them want to play in the lineup.
“Today, Goncalo, Kang-in, Fabian and Mbaye, all of them they played great.”
