UEFA Super Cup: Prize money for PSG, Tottenham revealed after penalty 4-3 win
The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, paid Paris Saint-Germain £4.3m for participating in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
As reported by Football London, UEFA also paid Tottenham £3.4m for losing against PSG.
Recall that the Parisians came from a 2-0 down to play 2-2 against Spurs after normal time.
Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero had given the Premier League club the lead.
But two second half goals from Lee Kang-in and Goncalo Ramos sent the UEFA Super Cup to penalties.
PSG midfielder Vitinha and Tottenham duo Van de Ven and Mathys Tel all missed their penalty kicks.
However, it was the Parisians who ended up winning 4-3 in the shootout.
