A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist and his passenger have been confirmed dead after a multi-vehicle collision that occurred along Siun junction, Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.

The Spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, on Wednesday said the accident involved a car with number plate KTU 152 JB, a Mazda bus with number plate LSR 345 YK, a motorcycle with number plate KNN 515 VD, and a truck with number plate T5582 LA.

Akinbiyi explained that the truck lost control and rammed into other vehicles, leading to the death of the motorcycle rider and his female passenger on Monday evening.

He ascribed the cause of the accident to brake failure on the part of the truck.

He said, “The accident involved a car with number plate KTU 152 JB, a Mazda bus with number plate LSR 345 YK, a motorcycle with number plate KNN 515 VD, and a truck with number plate T5582 LA.

“A male motorcyclist and the female passenger he was carrying died in the accident,” Akinbiyi added.
