Turkey: Osimhen thumbs up Galatasaray’s win over Besiktas

Victor Osimhen has praised his teammates for their efforts in the Istanbul derby win over Besiktas on Monday night.

The Yellow and Reds claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Besiktas.

Davidson Sanchez gave Galatasaray the lead early in the game.

Osimhen doubled the advantage with a glorious header after the break.

“We were good in terms of play. We faced a team with talented players, especially forwards. I am happy with the goal contribution,” the Nigeria international told the club’s official website.

“This is important; but the team’s performance was more important. Now we need to continue by building on this momentum.”

Osimhen has now scored four goals for Galatasaray this season.
