Turkey: Onuachu inspires Trabzonspor’s victory over Kocaelispor
Paul Onuachu scored the winning goal as Trabzonspor defeated Kocaelispor 1-0 in their opening league game of the season.
Onuachu scored the decisive goal four minutes after the break.
The Nigeria international was in action for 77 minutes before being replaced by Felipe Augusto.
His compatriot, Anthony Nwakaeme, also started the game.
Nwakaeme was substituted for Bosluk Arif six minutes from time.
Onuachu joined Trabzonspor on a permanent transfer from Sky Bet Championship club Southampton last month.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan with the Black Sea Storm.
