Trump To Sign Order Banning Gender Ideology, DEI Policies In U.S

President Donald Trump will on Monday sign executive orders that will ban gender and diversity policies implemented under the Biden administration, US officials told CNN.

According to the official, the proposed ban is part of Trump’s broader commitment to addressing culture war issues, which formed part of his campaign.

The first executive order will require federal agencies to recognise only biological males and females in official policies and documentation.

Federal agencies will no longer promote what the administration describes as “gender ideology,” and forms used by entities such as the State Department will reflect only biological sex.

The implication of this is that passport and visa applicants must identify strictly as male or female, the official confirmed.

Additionally, federal prisons and migrant shelters will be required to maintain “single-sex spaces,” and the use of federal funds for gender transition procedures will be prohibited.

The official also noted that the order aims to protect free speech by preventing individuals from being compelled to use preferred pronouns.

“The federal government will no longer be in the business of promoting gender ideology,” the official said.

A second executive order will target diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs across federal agencies. The administration plans to eliminate DEI-related initiatives, including environmental justice programs, equity-related grants, and agency equity action plans.

“The DEI bureaucracy is being dismantled, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are no longer spent on radical and wasteful programs,” the official stated.

These actions mark a significant shift in federal policy and are expected to draw both support and criticism as they take effect.
