Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with police operatives and community watch teams, have rescued six kidnapped children in Gidan Maga village, Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The incident occurred on Monday when gunmen invaded the community in an attempt to abduct residents. Security forces engaged the attackers in a gun duel, forcing them to abandon the children and flee into Naalma Forest.

The victims were identified as Abdulhakim Rilwanu, 12; Zinatu Mansir, 10; Ado Sani, 9; Sani Umar, 10; Yusuf Umar, 10; and Jamilu Nasiru, 11, all from the same village.

The children were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families, while security forces continued a search operation in the forest to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
