Troops raid terrorist hideouts in Sokoto, recover motorcycle
Troops of 8 Division Garrison, in collaboration with the Sokoto State Community Guard Corps, SSCGC, have raided terrorist hideouts in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The development was disclosed in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama via his X handle.
According to the report, the operation, carried out in the early hours of Saturday, targeted Dantayawa and Kuruwa mountains.
Troops engaged the terrorists in a firefight, forcing them to abandon their camps. A motorcycle was recovered during the operation.
Although no arrest was made, the military said pursuit operations are ongoing to track down the fleeing fighters.
