Transfer: Werder Bremen plot January move for Chuba Akpom

Bundesliga club, Werder Bremen are targeting a move for Ajax striker, Chuba Akpom.

According to Sport, the Nigerian-born striker is a January target for the former Bundesliga champions.

The Green and Whites want to take Akpom on-loan with the option to sign him permanently in June.

The 29-year-old has struggled for regular playing time since joining Ajax from Sky Bet Championship club, Middlesbrough last summer.

The forward has scored 21 goals in 58 matches for Ajax.

The Dutch giants are willing to let him leave for the right price.
