Transfer: Real Madrid make Saliba major target

Real Madrid have Arsenal defender, William Saliba, as their top summer target ahead of next year.

The LaLiga champions are preparing to raid the Premier League for its finest talents.

Los Blancos have stepped up their interest in Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, while signing Rodri from Manchester City is seen as an aspirational goal.

Le10Sport are now reporting that Saliba has been elevated to their highest priority, with Madrid having already put out feelers to his camp.

Saliba has been a lynchpin of Arsenal’s defence since 2022 and played every minute of the 2023-24 campaign in the Premier League’s most watertight defence.

This season has been no different and his partnership with Gabriel is, for some, the most enviable in world football.
