Transfer: Osimhen welcomes Akanji to Galatasaray

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has welcomed Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji to join him at the at the Turkish giants.

This was revealed by respected Galatasaray reporter Yakup Çınar.

According to Çınar, Osimhen spoke with the 30-year-old Swiss defender of Nigerian origin to consider joining Galatasaray this summer.

He stated this while providing an update regarding Galatasaray’s interest in Akanji.

Galatasaray have had discussion with Akanji’s agent as they seek to strike personal agreement with the player.

The Turkish champions want to strengthen their squad this summer transfer window and currently view the Swiss star as potential target at centre back.

Speaking about Akanji amid Galatasaray’s interest, Çınar said (via habersarikirmizi): “Victor Osimhen spoke to Manchester City’s Swiss defender Manuel Akanji on the phone and invited him to come to Galatasaray.”
