Transfer: Liverpool ready to smash British record for Isak
Liverpool are very keen on signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and ready to smash their transfer record for the second time this summer.
The Reds have already brought in Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116million.
Jeremie Frimpong has also arrive from Leverkusen along Wirtz as well as Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
But the Premier League champions are not done and are eyeing a stunning move for Isak.
It will take a new British record fee to secure the Sweden international, well over £125m.
Liverpool will begin negotiations with Newcastle if they receive encouragement.
Newcastle remain adamant that Isak is not for sale and want to improve his £120,000 per week contract.
Isak is currently with Newcastle’s squad in Austria for a training camp.
