Kelechi Iheanacho is nearing a transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Samsunspor, DAILY POST reports.

According to reports emanating from Turkey, Iheanacho has agreed to join Samsunspor on a permanent transfer.

The Red Lightning are currently in discussions with Sevilla to finalise the details of the contract.

Iheanacho will earn up to €1.2m per year, while Sevilla will get €3.5m as a transfer fee.

The Nigeria international joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after severing ties with Leicester City.

The 28-year-old was loaned to Sky Bet Championship club Middlesbrough in January.

Samsunspor turned to Iheanacho after missing out on the signing of Chuba Akpom, who recently moved to Ipswich Town.
