Transfer: Eze ‘closing in’ on Arsenal move after Community Shield

Crystal Palace midfielder, Eberechi Eze, is “closing in” on a move to Arsenal this summer.

Eze was in impressive form again, as the Eagles beat Liverpool on penalties, to win the 2025 Community Shield on Sunday.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Gunners for most of the summer transfer window.

Since arriving at Selhurst Park in 2020, Eze has evolved into one of the best playmakers in the Premier League.

According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal are willing to pay £55 million for Eze, with £30 million of that being paid upfront.

Palace are unwilling to allow Eze leave until they have brought in a replacement.

So far, Arsenal have added the experienced duo of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard as squad depth, along with Noni Madueke from Chelsea and defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.
