Transfer: Drama as Arsenal hijack Tottenham’s move for Eberechi Eze after Havertz injury

Arsenal have made a move to hijack Tottenham Hotspurs’ move to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners want to sign the 27-year-old, following the knee injury suffered by Kai Havertz.

Havertz’s injury is being assessed, but Arsenal are moving quickly to bolster their attacking options.

As at Wednesday, both Spurs and Palace were in talks to close negotiations with Eze, with the player having agreed personal terms.

But Eze, who came through Arsenal’s Hale Academy, would prefer to return to the Emirates.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has already spoken to Eze and it remains to be seen if he would eventually get his man this summer.
