Transfer deadline day: Chelsea close to sign Man Utd star for Maresca

Chelsea are reportedly edging closer to an agreement to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho for their manager Enzo Maresca.

According to Sky Sports, further talks have seen the deal progress, with both permanent and loan options on the table.

Juventus had previously been leading the race to sign the England international.

However, the Serie A side pulled out of a potential deal.

Sancho spent last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund following his call-out with manager Erik ten Hag.

He did not feature in Man United’s two Premier League games against Fulham and Brighton.
