Transfer Deadline: Chelsea, Arsenal confirm deals for Chilwell, Nelson

Chelsea and Arsenal have confirmed transfer deadline day deals for Ben Chilwell and Reiss Nelson, respectively.

Chelsea in a post on their website on Monday, the Blues said Chilwell has left Chelsea to join RC Strasbourg in a permanent transfer.

Recall that the England international joined the Premier League west London club from Leicester City in the summer of 2020.

The defender scored on his Premier League debut and established himself as a regular player in the team.

Meanwhile, Arsenal announced that Nelson has joined Premier League side Brentford on a season-long loan.

Nelson impressed last season at Fulham before an injury curtailed his time on loan at Craven Cottage.

The 25-year-old has been with Fulham for 17 years, making 90 first-team appearances.

He also scored eight goals and provided nine times for the Gunners.
