Transfer: £50m for Osimhen is peanuts – Rio Ferdinand

Ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has claimed that a £50 million bid for a striker of Victor Osimhen’s calibre is “peanuts”.

Ferdinand stated this in an interview with TalkSPORT.

The former England international has been vocal about the Red Devils’ need to bring in an established goalscorer.

However, it appears Osimhen is set to agree a permanent move to Galatasaray having agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants.

“I’m like a broken record. If anyone listens to my podcast, I’ve said Osimhen for a while now,” Ferdinand said.

“I’ve seen today that Galatasaray have put a £50m bid in.

“I mean, £50m to get a top-class striker, one of the top strikers in the world, is absolute peanuts in today’s market.”
