Tinubu swears in Disu as 23rd IGP

… Administers oath of office to 6 RMAFC, 2 FCSC commissioners

By Johnbosco Agbakwuru, ABUJA

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Tunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

The IGP took the oath of office at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

President Tinubu also administered the oath of office to six commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and two from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

The ceremonies were witnessed by ministers, senior government officials and members of the appointees’ families.

The FEC took off immediately after the swearing-in ceremony with a considerable number of members of Council in attendance.

Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA); and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Esther Walson-Jack, were in attendance.
