President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised religious leaders in Lagos State for fostering harmony and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths, describing their efforts as a major pillar of stability in the state.

The President gave the commendation over the weekend during the ordination of the new spiritual head of The Saviour’s Ministries Worldwide, Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Alausa, Ikeja, Baba Aladura Prince Gbenga Adeniran-Aluko.

Represented at the event by Bishop Stephen T. V. Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, President Tinubu expressed appreciation for the support and prayers offered by religious bodies to his administration.

He assured Nigerians that the temporary hardship currently being experienced in the country would soon give way to relief, citing the series of reforms being implemented by his government.
“I congratulate Baba Aladura Gbenga Adeniran-Aluko on this momentous occasion, which comes at a time when the church requires visionary and transformative leadership,” he said.

“As a citizen of Lagos, I commend all religious leaders in this state for being together and keeping the state peaceful without religious bigotry.

“The peace recorded so far in this state is noteworthy and I commend all religious leaders, and particularly the state government for the sustenance of this peaceful co-existence,” he added.
The President also called on Nigerians, particularly the faithful across all denominations, to continue to intercede for the success of governments at all levels, adding that their prayers remain vital to the nation’s progress and development.
