Three Nigerian DisCos lead in revenue efficiency in April, earn N199.85bn

Three Nigerian electricity distribution companies lead as eleven DisCos collected N199.85 billion as revenue in April 2025 from N257.57 billion in total electricity billings.

This is according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission’s performance fact sheet for April 2025, released on Tuesday in its X account.

Accordingly, NERC’s data showed that the eleven DisCos had a 79.59 percent revenue collection efficiency in April.

Further breakdown indicated that the Eko DisCo recorded the highest revenue collection of N38.70 billion, followed by Ikeja DisCo with N34.68 billion, and then Abuja DisCo collected N30.27 billion in revenue in the period under review.

Meanwhile, Yola DisCo recorded the least revenue collection of N3.37 billion.

Earlier NERC data showed that the eleven DisCos collected N553.63 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2025.
