Three Injured In Ibadan Multiple Road Crash

Three persons, including two adult women and a motorcycle rider, sustained varying degrees of injuries in a road crash that occurred on Monday at Azeez Ayinla Bus Stop, between the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway toll gate and the Iwo Road Roundabout.
The accident involved a Mercedes Benz Jeep with registration number BDG 619 JS, a motorcycle, and an articulated truck with registration number LSD 202 XH.
According to report, the motorcycle rider, who was carrying two female passengers, attempted to make a sudden U-turn from the service lane without noticing an oncoming fast-moving Jeep on the expressway’s fast lane.
The Jeep however collided with the motorcycle from the rear, and both subsequently rammed into the rear side of the truck, which was also attempting a U-turn at the bus stop.
An eyewitness, Mr. Abideen Lawal, told NAN that the crash resulted in serious injuries, with the motorcycle rider and his two passengers suffering leg fractures and other bodily injuries.
Personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) rushed the injured victims to Ibadan Central Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The wreckage of the motorcycle and the vehicles involved were towed to the Felele Police Station for further investigation.
Authorities urged road users to exercise caution, especially at busy intersections and bus stops along expressways.
