The Borno State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of the body of an unidentified man near a transformer inside the University of Maiduguri in Borno state.

The man is suspected to have died while attempting to steal electrical equipment.

ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the police spokesperson, stated that officers, alongside fire service operatives, safely moved the body to a hospital for medical examination.

The State Commissioner of Police, Naziru Abdulmajid, warned individuals involved in such criminal activities to desist, stressing that these acts endanger lives and threaten public safety.
