Super Falcons Players Yet To Receive $100,000 From FG – Ajibade

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has revealed that the players are yet to receive the $100,000, and other rewards the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu promised the team.
It would be recalled that two days after winning the Africa Women’s Nations Cup (WAFCON), President Tinubu hosted the team in Abuja, where he promised each member of the team $100,000, a national honour, and a three bedroom flat apartment for bringing glory to the country.
However, two weeks after the promises are yet to be fulfilled according to the Captain of the team, Rasheedat Ajibade, who confirmed in an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
Chude asked, “Have they delivered the $100,000″?
Ajibade responded: “We have not received our money, but hopefully, it will be paid. They have not paid, all the promises, we have not received anything.
“Because people want to suffocate me and they’ve shared the money into percentage, and we’ve not received it. But when they pay, it’d be announced. Our match bonuses are also work in progress.”
The Super Falcons defeated Morocco 3-2 after fighting back from 2-0 deficit to emerge champions of the competition for a record 10 times.
