Super Eagles Star Signs New Nottingham Forest Contract

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has signed a new three-year deal with Premier League side Nottingham Forest ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The former Chelsea academy player had one year left on his previous contract before extending his stay at the City Ground for the next three years.
Nottingham Forest confirmed his new deal on their website on Monday.
Aina played a key role in leading the club to a seventh place finish in the Premier League which helped them to qualify for the Conference League.
He joined Nottingham Forest from Torino on a free transfer two years ago, and has made 59 appearances, scoring twice.
The 28-year-old was delighted to extend his contract at the City Ground, hoping to continue his impressive performances for the team next season.
Aina said: “I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here.
“Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.”
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis praised Aina for his determination and character since joining the club.
“Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance.
“He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest.
“He has had a big influence since his arrival here and we look forward to continuing that journey together to help us achieve incredible things.
Nottingham Forest Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson, added: “Since the moment Ola joined the Club, we have loved his influence and personality on the team. He’s someone we all enjoy working with every day.
“Everyone can see how much he gives the team on the pitch, and we also see every day what he brings off the pitch to our group. Ola shares our ambition and believes in the direction of the Club, and we are delighted he has further extended his time here”.
Aina won possession in the defensive third more times than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues in the 2024/25 season.
He is expected to resume pre-season training with Nottingham Forest next week ahead of preparations for the 2025-26 Premier League season.
