Super Eagles Star Ola Aina Commits Long-Term to Nottingham Forest
Talented Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has officially agreed to a three-year contract extension with Nottingham Forest, which will keep him at the City Ground until the summer of 2028.
As Nottingham Forest looks to build on recent successes and maintain its status in the Premier League, this long-term commitment secures the services of an important player.
The 28-year-old, who originally joined Nottingham Forest as a free agent in July 2023 after leaving Italian club Torino, has now completed negotiations for a longer deal that had been in progress since last season.
Aina, who can comfortably play as either a right-back or left-back, quickly established himself as a vital member of the team by consistently delivering outstanding performances in the fullback role.
Following Forest’s successful bid to remain in the Premier League, the club exercised the option to extend his contract by 12 months in May 2024, a clause included in his initial one-year deal.
Aina’s decision to commit his long-term future to Nottingham Forest, now under the guidance of coach Nuno EspÃrito Santo, reflects his belief in the club’s vision and his dedication to the team.
His contract extension follows similar long-term deals recently awarded to defender Murillo and striker Chris Wood. Head coach Nuno EspÃrito Santo also signed a new contract, keeping him at Forest until 2028.
