Super Eagles Star Boniface Set To Join Italian Club
Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface is closing in on a move to AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the 2025-26 Serie A season.
According to Sky Sports, Bayer Leverkusen, and AC Milan are already in talks to finalise a permanent contract.
The Milan proposal to Bayer Leverkusen is a loan with an option to buy for a total of €30m.
He wrote on X: “Victor Boniface (24/) is close to joining AC Milan! The Italian side and Bayer Leverkusen are in direct talks to finalize a permanent deal.
“Milan have sent an official offer in the last 48 hours, which Leverkusen are currently reviewing. All parties are confident to get the deal done. Igli Tare is pushing for Boniface.
“Boniface already has an agreement in principle with Milan, waiting for the green light.”
Similarly, Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the deal with a post on X on Wednesday.
He wrote: AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are in advanced talks for the Victor Boniface deal. Negotiations underway today as Victor said yes to AC Milan contract proposal. Talks continue over deal structure.
The Rossoneri are in the market for a top striker after losing Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham in recent months.
Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in August 2022, and he played a key role in leading the team to the Bundesliga title in 2024.
Despite numerous injury problems, Boniface still managed to score 11 goals and provide two assists in 27 competitive games for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
