Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has announced a delay in the release of its 2024 full-year audited financial statements, attributing the postponement to ongoing regulatory approval processes with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

In an official notice addressed to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and stakeholders, and obtained by THE WHISTLER, the company acknowledged that the delay stems from its ongoing efforts to obtain clearance from its primary regulator, the CBN.

Stanbic IBTC emphasized that the audited financial statements will be made public once the approval process is completed.

“We are currently seeking the approval of our primary regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria, for the 2024 full-year audited financial statements.

‘Once this process is concluded, we will promptly release the financial statements to the market,” the statement, signed by Company Secretary Chidi Okezie, stated.

The company assured stakeholders that it is working to ensure the timely submission of its financial results to the NGX.

While the regulatory deadline for submission is set for March 31, 2025, Stanbic IBTC indicated that the results may be released either before or shortly after this date, depending on the timing of the CBN’s approval.

The delay comes as financial markets anticipate corporate performance reports, with investors keen on gaining insights into Stanbic IBTC and other quoted companies’ financial health and strategic direction.
