Speed Darlington Dumped By Lawyer

Legal practitioner Stan Alieke, representing singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has withdrawn from his case following his second release from prison.
Darlington was released last week after the court granted him N20m in bail in his ongoing defamation case with fellow Nigerian artist, Burna Boy.
In a statement shared on his Instagram story on Sunday evening, Alieke, who heads the Law Capitol firm, announced his decision to withdraw from representing Speed Darlington.
He said, “I & my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo, AKA Speed Darlington/Akpi, & henceforth cease to act as his legal attorneys.”
Darlington was released from police custody after spending two months behind bars following his arrest on November 27 while performing at a show in Owerri, Imo State, over allegations of cyberstalking Grammy award-winning musician Burna Boy.
Darlington had taunted Burna Boy regarding his relationship with embattled U.S. rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is currently facing multiple charges of sex trafficking.
