Eight operatives of the Agunechemba Security outfit involved in the brutal assault and public stripping of a female National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Miss Jennifer Elobor, have been arrested.

DAILY POST recalls that a video of the incident, which trended on Tuesday, captured the female corps member being tortured by the local security operatives.

Providing an update on the matter, the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Ken Emeakayi, stated on Wednesday that the government has terminated the services of the operatives.

According to him, the government acted swiftly after receiving reports of the incident.

He added that the operatives would be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
