Soldiers from the 63 Bridge Nigerian Army, Asaba in Delta State on Monday gunned down three suspected kidnappers at Otulu community, Aniocha South Local Government Area.

The soldiers also recovered from the suspects, the sum of N2.4 million, 52 live rounds of ammunition, one AK-47 rifle, mobile phones and other valuables

It was gathered that the suspects were killed during a gun battle with the soldiers.

One of the soldiers also sustained gunshot wounds and he is currently receiving treatment with an injured suspect.

The suspects met their Waterloo after they abducted a staff of Seth Integrated Farms, identified as Igiri Samuel, and a young lady at Akwu-kwu-Igbo, headquarters of Oshimili North Local Government Area, on Friday.

Following the abduction, the Government House tracking unit swung into action in a combined effort with troops of the 63 Brigade.

They trailed the hoodlums from Atuma-Iga down to Otulu in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Sighting the soldiers, the kidnappers opened fire. Retuning fire, the soldiers overpowered the hoodlums, killing three of them.
