Lagos State officials have apprehended six suspects accused of vandalising a government-installed barricade at the Obalende Roundabout, one of the busiest traffic hubs in the state.

Those arrested were identified as Matthew Yohana, Jinadu Aliyu, Yohanna Adamu, Ayuba James, Umoru John, and Yakubu Ali.

Confirming the development in a statement released via his official X handle, the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, warned that the state would not condone acts capable of undermining public order.

“All arrested individuals will be prosecuted in line with the relevant extant laws of Lagos State. We will not allow criminality or lawlessness to undermine public safety or the environment in Lagos State,” Wahab stated.
